A Banner Bar Success Story

Alpine Bank serves the community by displaying non-profit fundraising event banners in high traffic areas

Alpine Bank Montrose has a mission to be highly supportive of the Montrose community. One way they support our community is by offering to display banners promoting non-profit and other community events in front of their Montrose bank locations.  They previously installed these banners using the typical "green T-post" banner installation method.  As is often the case, the banners looked fine for a day or two until breezy or outright windy conditions caused the banners to collapse under the wind loading.  Even if the banners were not damaged in the wind, they still looked unprofessional because of the unsightly look of T-posts. When larger banners were installed, the problem became even worse.

To solve the banner installation problem, Alpine Bank purchased a couple of Standard Banner Bar kits.  This allowed them to display single sided or double sided banners at both locations.  They loved the fact that they could now install the banners and forget about them (Read Brian's review of the Banner Bar). As demand grew to display more events, they upgraded their banner displays to the V-Configuration Banner Bar kits allowing two unique events to be displayed at one time at each bank location.  The V-Config also improved readability for traffic traveling both directions.

The Banner Bar not only improved the look of the banners at Alpine Bank but it also improved banner durability and readability while increasing requests for event banners to be displayed at both locations.  If there happens to be a short period of time when banners are not in use, the Banner Bar framework is very subtle in it's appearance and does not have to be removed.

Here's a short video showing how the Banner Bar holds a 13 oz. 3' x 8' banner in windy conditions.  The wind speed during this video was approximately 20 mph with gusts over 30 mph.  Notice how the Bosom Buddies banner is fastened with the correct number of bungees on each end vs. the Hot Pink Hot Tub auction banner is installed with the top and corner bungees only.  We recommend installing banners using four to five bungees on each end (depending on banner size) for best results.  Both banners performed well in these windy conditions because the Banner Bar prevented the T-posts from collapsing inward.
