Take a look at what our supporters are saying about The Banner Bar
Brian Becherl - Property Manager at Alpine Bank: I'm reaching out to thank you for setting me up with your V-Configuration Banner Bars. Throughout the year, I setup banners for several non-profits in our community to advertise their upcoming events. Prior to installing The Banner Bar at two of our Alpine Bank locations, I was constantly babysitting sagging banners. The wind would blow or just the weight of the banners would cause them to sag. I'd have to take the banners down, fix the posts, re-hang the banners and then check back the next day, hoping I didn't have to repeat the process.
I'm impressed with how the aluminum bars extend to the length needed and clip into metal brackets that in turn lock over a simple T-post. I then attach the banners with the included bungees and forget about them until I replace them with the next set of banners.
I like the well made materials that won't easily break or bend and should work and look like new for years to come. It's no exaggeration to tell you that you made my life and job a little bit easier! No more shameful looking banners!

John Angelo - Owner of Heidi's Brooklyn Deli in Montrose, Colorado: Ken and the crew and Go Big Banners are great to work with and create solutions that work for your business. The "Banner Bar" is awesome! A banner is typically a less expensive way to get a message out but challenging to make it look good. The "Banner Bar" converts a banner into a professional looking sign. Great product, simple design and easy to use!
What are some common banner installation mistakes?
Guy Wires (rope)Attach guy wires and you think you are good to go. They work until the first wind hits your banner and then everything sags.

Good Intentions With Four PostsThis is a larger banner that was installed with good intentions (using four T-posts). It looked great until the spring winds came.
|
Use a TreeWhen you don't have posts, tie it to the tree . . . or maybe not. It probably looked good on day one, but the message was quickly lost.

Here's the challenge with installing free-standing banners as temporary signs...
The goal with any banner or large temporary sign is to get your brand and message noticed. Banners of all sizes are installed outdoors and in many instances the chosen installation method is not adequate for windy conditions. You worked hard to create an image for your business or event. You paid to have it designed and printed. You were excited to display your new banner and quickly installed it between some t-posts with guy wires. Your banner looks great until the wind picks up and sadly causes the banner you just purchased to become unreadable or shredded as it flaps wildly in the wind.

Without a Banner Bar you will:
- Eventually have ave a sagging banner
- The weather will wreak havoc on it as it flaps in the wind
- Guy wires make it difficult to trim the grass and are a trip hazard
- The metal poles may look unsightly and primitive compared to your nice new sign
- The sign becomes difficult to read, especially when viewed at driving speeds
- To viewers, this is unprofessional and shows neglect
...and here's why it may also be a waste of your money:
- Your brand isn't showing well and in fact shows poorly
- Your message, event or promotion is now a lost opportunity
- Your sign will wear out sooner and you'll look back thinking you didn't get your money's worth

How should I order my banner to work with The Banner Bar?
You will need #3 grommets across the top (every 24") and three to four grommets on both ends of the banner. Grommets are not needed on the bottom edge. Hems are required for longer term use. If your banner will be displayed for just a few days, hems are not required.
What height of banner can be used with The Banner Bar?
The maximum height of your banner will be determined by the length of posts you use. In other words, if you plan to use 5'-6" TP133 posts, your maximum banner height will be 36" to 40", allowing 24" of post below grade. If you plan to install a banner that is 48" tall, you will need longer TP133 posts. Note, the included pole covers are cut to 4'-4". If you plan to install a 48" tall banner, you will need longer pole covers. Ask us about pole cover options when ordering.
Can The Banner Bar be used with larger banners?
Yes, The Banner Bar can be configured with multiple sections using our Center T-post Connector. The Center T-post Connector allows a center T-post to be added for use with 12' or 16' long banners. This type of installation requires the purchase of two or more Banner Bar kits. We also offer an Angled T-post Connector to be used when installing your banners in a "V" configuration.
Do the bungee cords wear out?
They do. If your banner will be installed for an extended amount of time, you will need to periodically check the condition of the bungees as they may become weathered or torn. Replace your bungees with new as needed. We have found we need to replace them every six months. The elastic cord deteriorates in the full sun, and if you want proper sign tension, you'll want to replace them periodically. Check in the products section below.
Do you sell the T-posts?
No. You can get them locally much cheaper than we could buy them, sell and ship them to you.
What are the T-posts covered with?
We provide 4'-4" UV resistant PVC pole covers and caps to cover your t-post.
Have these been tested?
We successfully tested our original Banner Bar design for nine months at a location that regularly sees 20 to 30+ MPH winds. Our second and third generation Banner Bar designs were tested over a two year period in multiple locations with amazing results. The Banner Bar is patented (US Patent 10,410,553)
