To be effective, your banner design MUST be readable . . .
Many factors need to be considered to properly design your banner.
Size of banner What size of banners does your sign code allow? How will you install a large vs small banner? How much information needs to be included on your banner? Location Is your location close or farther away from automotive traffic? Are you concerned about foot traffic only? Is there a direct line of sight to your business from nearby streets and sidewalks? Will your banner be installed on a wall or fence or will it need a freestanding frame? Traffic speed What is the speed limit near the area your banner will be installed? The higher the speed limit, the larger your banner will need to be. Keep in mind drivers only have a split second to read your information. Content How much information needs to be included on your banner? We always recommend condensing your information down to include only critical information. It's always tempting to include lots of information to get the most bang for your buck however too much information is almost always counter productive to good readability. Simple is better. Colors Your design should use high contrast colors. Even if your company colors are lighter tones, your banner must have high contrast colors for good readability. We'll help you refine your content to ensure your message is clear and readable for your location. |
